***Official: Royals vs. Twins 4/27***

Everett Teaford looking to go from Royals' favorite long reliever/spot starter/lefty specialist to future Royals pitching ace. The road begins tonight.

Will a great game last night from Alex Gordon mark the turning point for him? Memories . . .

Billy Butler, Royal blue. Thats what I'm usually rocking at game day in the K. Before that, it was... (sigh)... a Royal blue Teahen. Yeah, I got burned on that one, sorry, I saw him have an awesome game in Omaha and lost my mind when I got back to my home PC. I was so gunshy after that hilarious miss, I refused to buy a greinke jersey.

I'm thinking Escobar now, though. Powder Blue this time.

"Is this the type of win that can get a winning streak going?"

Atleast Yost answered it correctly.

Butler is a good choice. But Teahen? And after an Omaha game?

Escobar Royal blue would be a good choice.

I wouldn't be so hot on Escobar just because of a similar experience with a guy you may or may not remember. Rey Ordonez ring a bell? Dude could flash the leather like almost no one I have seen at short but couldn't hit worth a shit. His bat cost him a place in this league which sucked because defensively he was so good.

I own and have only ever owned one Royals jersey... Freddie Patek. It's hanging on my office wall because he autographed it. I do have a t-shirt autographed by Frank White up there too.

Why not? Do you see Escobar continuing to hit. I thought we were hoping he would hit .250?

ok, its done, money gone, I just ordered a powder blue Escobar jersey with an all-star patch. I'll hand down my trusty Royal Blue Butler jersey to someone else in my family.

Escobar isn't just flashy. He is a dominant defensive pillar that leads a really good infield. Moose and Hosmer are great corners that complement, but it will be Escobar that sets the defensive tone -- and it's going to be legendary. Like Tinker-to-Evers-to-Chance legendary.

I think Escobar will continue to hit because he's learned how to. Will he be a dominate hitter? No. But for a full season pretty much now he's gotten clutch hits and most importantly been consistant. The game doesn't look to be too big for him. Escobar is the very least of my concerns.

What he brings on defense goes without saying.

Agreed. We have a pretty special infield. Shore up 2nd base and get Sal back.... set.
