What should Veach accomplish this offseason?

Obviously we will try to keep OBJ and Ingram. Clark and Hitchens are probably gone.
I want Matheiu gone but I’m not sure Spags will let Veach do that. That will be interesting.

I think our #1 need has to be another receiving weapon. Mahomes went through slumps and a big part of that was the shit from Robinson and Pringle. They just aren’t good enough when Kelce and Reek are double covered.

We need to start a youth movement at DL, secondary and WR. Kelce, Jones, Ingram and Matheiu (whether he stays or goes) are starting to get old.

Basically WR, pass rush and secondary. I want Veach to attack those areas hard.

What do you think?

Last off-season he overhauled the O-Line (and did a hell of a job). This off season it’s time to do the D-Line.

A good #2 receiver (Allen Robinson?) for Pat would be helpful as well. A guy that can make catches in traffic and will hold onto the ball.

And a RB with some explosiveness or ‘big play’ ability would be nice.

I would say Safety too, but I think Veach is bringing back HB. I don’t agree with that decision, but I think that’s the direction they’re going.

Find a couple more hidden gems for future DB’s. Veach and his scouting staff seem to be great at that. Ward will be too expensive to re-sign.

That’s pretty much it.

Bullshit. Look at nfl history for reference. We may not get back to another SB. That's the odds we face

A lot of work to do.

We spent a bigger % of the 2021 cap(96m) on Defense than any team in the NFL.

Move #1, Replace Spagnuolo with Vic Fangio (Doubt this happens)

Defensive Needs:
2 New Edge Rushers (Keep Melvin Ingram in the rotation)
Cornerbacks (Sneed,Fenton,Lammons only CBs under contract)
Safety: Keep Thornhill (replace the rest)
LB: Keep Bolton,Gay (replace the rest)

Offensive Needs:
Starting Right Tackle
Take a shot at replacing CEH w/mid round pk
2 Wrs that run good routes (Goodbye to everyone but Hill,Pringle,Hardman) Fountain can tryout again

Ward will be back! And I'm all for it. Ward plays the run well and is always near the ball on pass plays...not many better than him out there.

It’s good to see. AFC is loaded with high quality QB’s. Chiefs need a better pass rush to deal with those QB’s.

Without checking a list of available FAs, is there anyone out there Brown Varnish might consider trading a 1st round pick for? I'm not advocating such a move, but Belgian Vaginosis has shown a willingness to trade away 1sts on multiple occasions.

I don’t care about OBJ being a headcase. He comes in at a good deal? Yeah I’m taking him over Demarcus ****ing Robinson every time. We have got to get rid of our bottom 10% and replace them with viable players. I’m sure the Bucs regret AB contributing to their SB ring after what he did.

Sorenson, Neimann, Robinson, Hughes, Clark. All these guys who teams picked on. No more.

I don’t even care if it puts some age on the team temporarily. I know I’d take 34 year old capable Kareem Jackson over Sorenson. That’s a huge upgrade as sad as it is

Don't yell at me I'm just throwing out crazy ideas. But is there a world where it makes sense for the Chiefs to just blow up the defense like we did the OL last year, trade Chris Jones, and go all young (except maybe Melvin Ingram)?

I love Jones in the regular season. But other than the Superbowl, which we probably don't win w/o his 3 late batted/tipped passes - he's been a dud in the postseason. It's not great when the best player on your defense has a lackadaisical attitude. No one seems to be able to get in his face, except Ingram in the Bills game - which was great.

I wonder what we could get for him? The Rams would be perfect - imagine Jones and Donald together lol. Donald would straighten him out. But I don't think they have much draft capital left. Maybe Jones for Ramsey straight up? Who needs a cornerback when you have Donald and Jones collapsing every pocket? Doubt they'd go for that. Would a team give us a high first round pick for him?

I agree 100%
I just can’t understand why Andy doesn’t use him more in the passing/screen game. He averages 7.7 yards per reception. Most of the time he catches the ball he’s getting a nice chunk. Him and McKinnon will be a nice combo. If we used him more in the passing game, paired with Hill/Kelce/whoever Veach signs at WR2 our offense would be even more deadly. Maybe it’s partly Mahomes not going with the dump off as much?
