Bills/ Bengals [cancelled - process in OP]

In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

Based on what I saw Monday in the first 8 minutes (the Bengals, at home, trying to clinch their division, moving the ball at will on the Bills depleted defense, who was now going to be out two additional secondary starters) it looked like the Bengals were getting ready to roll the Bills. But because of the injury/incident (whatever you wanna call it), the game was stopped and your guys didn't want to play, not only THAT day (which is understandable, I guess) but going forward on future days as well. So your team got to avoid their toughest game of the season and the Bengals got screwed out of the chance to steal the 2 seed from you and likely end up hosting you again in a divisional playoff rematch. They may have been complicit in some of that (on that night, anyway), but it seems like they (based on Burrow's comments) were more than willing to play the game going forward on another night. Especially once the player in question was stabilized and improving. But, again, the Bills STILL didn't want to play the game.

Now, setting all THAT aside, are you okay going forward with the NFL arbitrarily changing established rules at their discretion, in the middle of a season or playoffs, when they feel it's needed in the interest of 'competitive balance'?

What happens when the Bills get screwed by a last minute rule change like the Bengals or Ravens did? You guys gonna be cool with it then?

I just want to see the seeding decided by each team's record, not arbitrary rules that the league makes up in the middle of the season.

Hamlin helped the Bills... Burrow and Chase were exposing Tre White as a JAG and were on there way to putting up a forty spot...

Why do the Bills, as an organization, have to make it so hard to root for them? You were supposed to be our rival and have games that everyone can remember for decades. Instead you chose at every turn to change the league to make it easier on you.

Go back to being mediocre. I don't give a shit anymore.

The option of a neutral game is only because the Bills are involved. The NFL is trying so hard to gift them a win it's gross.

To be clear, i’m fine with KC having the 1 seed and all the perks of it. The Chiefs had literally NOTHING to do with that game and that injury. So they shouldn’t be punished for it.

That being said, it is beyond ridiculous to say that because Cinci had “momentum” in the first half of the FIRST QUARTER that they were going to win.

This is a Cinci team that just last week needed a redzone fumble with one minute left against MAC JONES after going up 18-0 on the Patriots. They brutalized the Patriots in the first half and then fell apart in the second. We just don’t know what would have happened in that Bills-Cinci game and the first half of the first quarter doesn’t tell how us how it would have ended.

Injuries no matter how severe cost teams playoff positioning, etc. all of the time… that’s the reality of sports.

If Buffalo was too “traumatized” to continue playing the game or to finish the game this week… fine… but there should be consequences to that in terms of wins/losses and playoff seeding.

This is a valid point. We don't know how that Monday game would have finished. For KC, a neutral site game and Bye week is a pretty decent result. I think KC people should view it like conference title games in college football, which are always played at neutral site locations. The Bye week is huge of course. We'll see if KC can take care of business against the Raiders, which is a major question. They struggled big time with those guys earlier in the season.

But I also think the NFL leaders screwed the Bengals pretty hard. They gave the Bengals a chance for a neutral site game with KC, but they did not give the Bengals a neutral site game with Buffalo. I do not understand that one at all. Cincy did not get to finish the game against Buffalo. They were leading, had the ball and a first down in Buffalo territory...IF they ended up winning the game, Cincy & Buffalo would have the same record and Cincy would have a tiebreaker for home field advantage in the Playoffs. But the game wasn't finished, so I think it should be neutral field situation for Buffalo & Cincy in a Playoff game. Just my two cents...and then we have that bizarre coinflip thing for the Bengals with the Ravens.

They don't deserve the L since it seems the Bengals were on board with letting this play out in the league offices instead of demanding to play the game. Neither team deserves the W.

Nashville is a great city; one of my favorites.

Their stadium SUCKS though. I don't know how they managed it, but if you are sitting in the 2nd level, no matter how far up, you feel like you're watching the game from a blimp.

The stands all have a really severe angle that makes everyone, no matter where you sit, feel completely removed from the action.

I absolutely hated that stadium.

Agree with this,

the game was not finished, they should have resumed the next day it is sucha shame the NFLs poor leadership didn't force this issue and at least force a decision from either team. Sucks.

Best thing would be for owners to approve the proposal after deciding that a Bills Bengal divisional is neutral site if both win Sunday.

Chiefs lost to Bills and Bengals, crying about neutral site is low class.
