Dodgers sign Andruw Jones

Dodgers Sign Andruw Jones
UPDATE, 12-5-07 at 11:50pm: The Dodgers have reached an agreement with Jones - two years, $36MM. Despite all the posturing from Scott Boras, the Dodgers got Andruw for a reasonable rate and term. Nice move by Ned Colletti.

Disappointed we didn't add him as well, i guess it's either fukyoudome or kuroda(sp?)

dude is 30 years old and had a down year, but he still had 26 home runs 94 RBI's and won a gold glove. Not to mention he has a cannon for an arm.

I dont think he's declining yet. He's to young. He played hurt last year. He did get paid alot, but then again. I am not paying his salar, Frank McCourt is.

We have a good mixture of players now. Some young talent with some veterans.

I am excited as hell for the 2008 season. At least of my teams has a chance to be competitive. We all know the Chiefs arent going to be worth a **** for another year or 2.

YOU may not be paying for his salary but I sure as hell am.

$85 per ticket plus parking for each game I attend (I've got two seats and premiere parking).

That being said, I like the signing and I'd be very surprised if the Dodgers were done dealing.

He is struggling with the glove and hitting off speed stuff. I think the Dodger brass is unsure whether he can overcome this.

It's cool that the team is at least making an offer, which, unbelievably, wasn't the case with Beltran under Baird's regime.
