Movies and TV IronMan Fever!!! - Page 3

I have a bunch of friends who have called and want to go see IronMan. Plus, the beautiful and witty Mrs. FAX wants to see it, as well. Unfortunately, the calls kept coming in and they all want to go at different times. I'm willing to see the movie ... maybe 3 times, but not 6 or 7 in the same weekend. Therefore, a quandry results. How do I decide who to go see IronMan with and who I regrettably turn down? At this point, I've said "yes" to everybody.

Any advice?

I just got back from seeing this. It was a freaking blast. Downey is a complete badass as Tony Stark.

Unfortunately. Mr. FAX, the problem runs much deeper - you have too many friends - a problem you should have dealt with when you were MUCH younger, by being antisocial, arrogant and annoying - and those are only the "A"'s. Perhaps one of the benefits of sites like this will be that they will provide ample opportunity for young men to learn the correct behaviours to ensure that they never experience the embarrasing problem of having too many friends.

Hes been clean now for about 5 years (alledgedly)

I hope he stays clean. Hes been a damn good actor for the past 20+ years now. Nice to see hes finally gotten his life in order.

It's probably the second best comic book movie after Batman Begins, but damn near unseated it.

And 2 is due out in 2010, fyi.

Deserves it. It's got the fanboy punch, the layman's punch, a political punch and it's wrapped in a nice action movie with slick props and CGI. What's not to like.

For what it's worth, here's how I'd rank the top 5 comic adaptations thus far:

1) Batman Begins
2) Iron Man
3) Spider-Man 2 and X2
5) Spider-Man

Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor, i've always thought he did a fantastic job.

I loved the premiers for this movie. He sells this movie no question.

Originally when he was cast for it i thought WTF?

I hope GTA4 doesn't take to much of the audience from seeing it. lol

Saw it this afternoon. It was a great movie. Downey Jr was perfect as Stark, and Jeff Bridges was great in his role.

There were some kickass trailers before the movie as well. Brand new trailers for Dark Knight, Indiana Jones and The Incredible Hulk. There were also trailers for the new Sandler movie, new Mike Myers movie and M Night Shamylan's new one, which doesn't look too bad.

I was pissed. We didn't get the new DK trailer. So now I'll have to download the HD version on Sunday. However, I did already catch the bootleg so I wasn't too disappointed.

And once again, the IJ trailer just sucked all life from it again. If only the fanboys could wake up and realize it's money for money's sake.....the nostalgia is gone.

Oh come on....its a money grab for sure, but it looks decent.
