I think the big story is Oklahoma is probably going to hop over Texas in the BCS, especially with OSU coming up... and then another game against Mizzou. Texas might be pretty helpless at this point. The SEC will take care of itself.

This is assuming OU beats OSU.

How is that different than Alabama or Florida's wins over LSU & Georgia? Seems hypocritical to me..
OU has beaten both Cinn and TCU, maybe not traditional powers, but they are having very good seasons this year. LSU and Georgia, whether it be injury or bad luck, are not as good as their early season hype. You can't say that about the Big 12, outside of Mizzou which is balanced out by surprise in OSU.

That doesn't mean Alabama and Florida aren't as a good as the tops in the Big 12, but the Conference is top heavy this year compared to the Big 12. OU's schedule and performance warrant them above Florida, IMO. Doesn't matter, it'll all be settled barring an upset of the top teams at this point.

But, as far as the conference being overrated, the SEC clearly has not lived up to its preseason hype, whereas the Big 12 has met or exceeded it.

Texas screwed themselves when they lost to T-Tech, when that happened, it obviously wasn't "end of story".

Florida's OOC of Miami and FSU aren't creampuffs either. Alabama also got their first big win against, at that time, #9 Clemson. The Big XII is top-heavy this year and deeper at the top than the SEC. However, the SEC is still better top to bottom. There aren't any teams as bad as Baylor, Texas A&M and Iowa State in the SEC.

Florida playing Citadel makes Florida a worse team?

Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, and Kentucky are all pretty horrible. LSU has fallen apart the last month. The bottom of the SEC is just bad.

According to the coaches it's OU.

None of those teams are as terrible as the bottom of the big 12 (A&M, Baylor, Iowa State).
