Would you try to acquire Merriman?

Apparently the Chargers are putting him on the trade block. He hasn't been good at all lately.

With that said, would you try to acquire him for say a 5th or 6th rounder to have his rights next year if it's uncapped?

Or is he finished at the ripe age of 27?

I think this defense needs someone who can potentially collapse a pocket, so I say yes, but I also get too hung up on guys who performed well years ago.

Thoughs?

Because we have two 2nd round picks, I would definitely give up or 3rd. KC is so short on LB talent. They are starting two inside LB's that really have no business starting in the NFL.

the extensive roid and injury history seem to explain away any chance he'd be productive in the future. maybe it would be worth a 6th or 7th, but I dont' see much of a chance he'll be productive in the league again

If we're fantasy-pillaging the Chargers defense, give me Shaun Phillips.

Funny thing is.....Burnett was a FA this offseason. We could have signed him for cheap to play ILB for us.

Some people thought Dorsey was a bust after 1 season. Of course, he still could be, just saying...

I know...

Eleventy billion under the cap, haven't even reached the salary floor, and there were so many players that could have filled holes and were still young enough to still be here and in their prime in 2-3 years.

Oh well.

depends on the contract and you don't acquire him unless you have plans to put him back on 'roids.

once the roid guys go clean they aren't worth a shite.
