Sign Orton!

I don't care if this bandwagon smells of piss and is rolling on a donut. At least it rolls...for now!

I'm on this bandwagon until it is pulled over for a DUI!

Sign Orton....**** this Cassl+Daboll talk.

Disclaimer: Yeah I would rather trade up and draft a top-tier QB. But that aint happening...

I totally agree.

Ive mentioned it a few times, but I think that is the EXACT reason Romeo keeps bringing him up in the media.

Romeo KNOWS he will be fired sooner rather than later if he doesn't get somebody in here real fast that can beat Cassel out in camp.

Romeo had Derek Anderson.

I wouldn't mind seeing us bring in Vince YOung, but he is a damn headcase and I don't see them doing that.
Id take a chance on Peyton. If it doesnt work out, at least we tried.

I know Im gonna go against the grain on this one too, but I would sign Vince Young (not over Orton, though)

I think Vince is a similar type of cat as Derrick Johnson used to be, prior to Romeo (and Haley).

Very talented, flashes elite ability...but very inconsistent and can be a liability due to that factor. He seems to lack a "father figure" type that believes in him and can get through the defense mechanisms and get him to stay focused and dedicated.

It would be worth a shot to see if Romeo can be that guy for the kid if we cant sign Orton and the cost to move up in this draft is deemed too high.

One thing is for sure.

He wins football games.

I will always think that Jeff Fisher was a fool to play all the mind games with the kid.

When the kid played, the team played well and won games. When he sat, they looked like crap and were one of the worst teams in football.

The fact that the owner had to step in and TELL Fisher to play the quarterback the team WON GAMES WITH is crazy as ****.

Orton is the ultimate TC/Practice QB. He will never be beaten out. Not even by Brees or Brady or Rodgers. He'd beat Cassel out drunk on Jack.

If we are going to win with defense, we need Orton over Cassel. He can at least move the ball and help control the clock and keep our D off the field to rest up. Even if he scores the same # of points as Cassel, he'll have twice as many throwing yards, a lot more first downs, and much better time of possession.

That's pretty funny. Though I have seen over the years since CP opened, a lot of posters that seriously thought it would be clever to polish a turd on the Chiefs roster and add a pick to it, then offer it to a team to get their first round pick like they were not aware the player we were offering was a steaming pile of shit.....

Never worked in the past but, thanks for the bringing up the comedy in it....
