This is absolutely as stupid as stupid gets.

Hill is an amazing physical specimen. He has a very compact, muscular build and beside the fact that he's the fastest player in the NFL today, he's a fantastic route runner that can do things that no other NFL player can do.

Even if Hill loses a step after age 30, he'll still be among the fastest recievers in the league and will be so far advanced in terms of routes, scheme and versatility that unless he suffers a catastrophic injury, will be able to play at a super high level until at least age 35.

For ****'s Sake, Emmanuel Sanders is 34 and still playing at a high level and that dude is nowhere as fast or thick as Hill.

Correct, didn't I read we sit at like 192 something, or am I way off here?

Sure can. And without doing anything outside of this group:

Mahomes, Kelce, Hill, Jones, Mathieu

A lot of teams will be able to kick the can on players, but I'm not sure how many that are in trouble can do it with the players you want around long-term, anyway.

Extending Hill so he's on a 5-year deal has minimal risk as long as you can walk on the deal in year 4 or 5 if he falls off a cliff physically.

Restructuring Mahomes was part of the plan from Day 1 with that contract.

Jones? He's got 3 years left on this deal and no prorated salary currently. Stretching 15M of his 21 cap hit out over 3 years gives you 10M of dead money if you cut him after 21, but they aren't gonna do that.

Kelce? Again, no signing bonus on his recent re-do, so you can restructure his 21 roster bonus and free up 3/4 of that money for 21.

And Mathieu? He's the linchpin of the defense, and they always intended to either extend or cut bait headed in 2021 with him.

As long as we don't do anything that extends Frank Clark's contract, I'm good with it.

I don't hate Clark, he's a decent player, but we're vastly overpaying him.

Disagree. He shows up in the playoffs. He’s fifth all time in postseason sacks too

Leave his contract alone and if he doesn’t show up next season....you make him a June 1st cut.
