QB School: Mahomes missed two chances to go to the SB

Hardman, Kelce or Pringle.

He just missed them. Period.

Something happened we'll never hear about..not even talking about the rigged stuff but something happened.

You don't come out at half after literally going through a defense like a hot knife through butter...and all of the sudden look like someone ran over your dog.

The whole team, but mainly Kelce and Mahomes had pouty jobber face.
It literally doesn't make any amount of sense.

Easily the weirdest part of the whole ordeal to me.

These guys are confident fiery leaders. And they just checked out with a double digit lead in the biggest game of the season.

There's a story to be figured out here, and props to any journalist who can uncover it.

So. Freaking. Bizarre.

I think Wilson is a better QB right now than he was during the glory days for the Seahawks. Mahomes can go on a similar path. He’s young enough to say he’s not in his prime at the moment. He needs to learn from his struggles this year and get better. But even if he becomes a better player over the next 3-4 years, the team around him will probably be weaker. A hell of a lot depends on Veach’s drafting & other roster moves.

It doesn't make sense that the man can drop it on a dime 40 yards down field, make every play and then he can't even be as good as Jimmy Garropollo right after.

Well I don't believe in the concept that Brady is the GOAT anyway (he's sucked in the playoffs on many occasions but it has been ignored/forgotten because his elite teams carried him often to playoff wins, often in the same games that he sucked in) but I've been down that road many times.

If I found out Mahomes or the Chiefs were throwing games, I would be out. Not just on the Chiefs, not just on the NFL. I would be out on sports in general.

That would be absolutely irreparable damage to any bit of faith in the authenticity of any sports league.

Even less reason to project him as anything close to a GOAT right now. 2 AFC Championships he's played incredibly poorly for a half in that greatly contributed to losing, a Super Bowl blowout loss, and a Super Bowl victory where he had the benefit of playing the de facto biggest choker in modern NFL history after playing quite poorly for over half the game.

I know he didn’t do this but the way he played in the second half you’d think he was shaving points. The QB in the first half was not the same QB in the second. I have no clue what went down.

Did something happen in the locker room at halftime?

I doubt we ever know even if a reporter digs around. It could have been something in private in Reids office or something. But, thats not Reid's thing. He doesn't yell at players in the heat of the moment. Especially, Mahomes.

And yet, despite that, it's still easily the best start of a career in NFL history for a QB.

Projecting somebody out as a GOAT is a fool's errand anyway. The guy that everyone says is the GOAT right now was a game managing joke four years into the start of his career.

Hesitation is the QB killer.

Mahomes lost his confidence and stopped throwing with anticipation. I will never understand how he could look so different in the second half.

Easier ways to shave points than running in circles for an entire half. Something was bothering him and Andy needed to run the damn ball with McKinnon when it was obvious Pat was ****ed mentally.
