Dan Campbell

I don’t get it.

I ridiculed this hire the second the Lions made it, in part because Bienemy had been interviewing and I was convinced EB was a slam dunk hire.

Instead, Campbell gets hired by the Lions. And it’s very clear to me from his first press conference that he’s a huge dingdong.

He says stupid things. He doesn’t seem to possess a reservoir of intelligence that I can detect. He gave an interview with Pat McAfee where he literally describes himself as being distracted by fans doing the wave.

What is going on? Why has he worked out in Detroit so far? Is this the best con job in America, and it turns out this guy is absolutely a genius?

How the hell has Dan Campbell worked out?

Lol, I would love to see Vrabel and Campbell in Celebrity Death Match (or whatever that show was called).

I make merciless fun of the lion-walking, kneecap-biting troglodyte. I figured he would be a disaster of MattMillenian scale. I recognize that I'm probably not a typical NFL mindset, but if I was a rookie and got drafted to that coach, I would be morose. I'll admit, though, that the guy clearly loves football, which I can appreciate, and I'm curious about the second half of last season and what went right for that team.

My money is still on a career winning percentage in the 40 percent range, though.

Dan Campbell is smarter than you.

But he's happy to let you believe he's an idiot.

That's his secret.

Dan Campbell's NFL record as a head coach with the Detroit Lions -
2021 - 3–13–1 record
2022 - 9 - 8 record

The Lions last year beat the Packers and the Bears twice and split with the Vikings.

They lost some close games to the Vikings, Seahawks, Dolphins, and Bills.

They lost badly to the Cowboys and the Patriots.

The Lions are getting better, but NFL teams will expect more from them in 2023 and will be better prepared for them.

It will be a good and entertaining game with the Lions and Chiefs, but for sure Andy Reid out coaches Dan Campbell.

Literally either had no idea Dorsey was in Detroit, or totally forgot about it. That could have a lot to do with it.
