1. Established possession short of the goal line. 2. Knee hit the ground 3. Ball crossed the EZ plane. 4. He maintained possession to the ground 5. No touchdown. If we slightly change the order: 1. Knee hits the the ground while bobbing the ball. 2. Ball crossed the EZ plane. 3. He establishes and maintains possession without the ball hitting the ground. 4. touchdown |

I remember Hill on the goal line in Denver a few years back where he didn't have control until he was across. I don't think this is a control thing and they got it right but that's the closest I could really compare to give the opposite argument.
