NCAA College Football 2006

I picked mine up last night. I am loving the "Race for the Heisman" feature, but I can't stop anybody on D.

What does everyone else think of the game? I was hoping the College game would have the vision passing so I could get a leg up on that for when Madden 06 comes out.

Desmond Howard on the cover?

I haven't played '06 yet, but I'm still willing to be that NCAA 2004 is the best college game out there. It doesn't have the great atmosphere of '05, but the gameplay is great (minus the OLB flaw).

If you can't afford '06, I'd highly recommend buying '04..... you can probably get it for like $10, if not cheaper.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that NCAA 2004 is one of the top 10 games ever made. It's easily the best sports game, which makes it the best football game and the best college game by default.

UTEP on NCAA 2004 was by far the best, with the band blaring "She'll be coming round the mountain"...

Does anyone else find Heisman mode realllly lacking? I thought we were going to be able to train him and stuff. But it really just looks like dynasty mode minus control of the team. Also I hate how you can't make different types of players, like a speed back for instance. I don't know, I was hoping for a lot more, but...oh well.

As for gameplay, I need some slider work before I can say.

BTW is the reversals of the sprint and player change buttons on xbox screwing everyone else up?

I am always a little disapointed when it comes to EA Sports talent evaluators. DonTrell Moore and Chris Barclay are rated as the #4 and #5 best RBs after Bush, Peterson and DeAngelo. Give me a ****ing break.
DonTrell Moore is very good. I don't really have a beef with him being rated very highly.

I'd say maybe Maroney probably deserved the #4 spot behind the "Elite 3," but I don't mind Moore.

Also, I like how you can sprint with the X button instead of the L2 button. I always got mixed up and hit the R2 button (pump fake) and then got sacked. I'm not a big fan of in-season recruiting, but maybe that will change.
