Pats/Jags: Predict the Outcome

Hey, there's 4 good games this week, but everyone seems to think the Jags have a really good shot at upsetting the undefeated Pats. I tend to disagree. While I have very healthy respect for a high quality team, I just think the Patriots and Colts continue to play at a level far above the rest of the NFL.

In any event, 2 things to predict -- final result, and over/under on Pats rushing attempts (exclude kneel-downs, QB scrambles by Brady, etc. I'll set the over/under at 12. If you assume 60 offensive snaps, that's a paltry 1 in 5.

Feel free to predict precise scores. For purposes of the pool, I'll just do margins of victory.

EDIT: FYI, the weather forecast is for high 30s/low 40s, with 10% chance of precipitation.

EDIT: Rats, I screwed up the poll -- didn't allow for multiple selections. Mod, please change if you would.

Did anyone watch how easily the Saint hung 41 on that vaunted J-ville D. They threw all over them. Jville is what Herm hopes the Chiefs can be - a team that can run and stop the run -- Too bad the Pats won't be running.

Pats win easy.

Did you notice the offensive facemask on the goal line? I'm sure as a P*triots fan you would remember that one.

I don't dislike the Jags, and I do dislike the Steelers, but that was a bad non-call that helped decide the game.

More a hope than a prediction, but I pick the Jags in a close one.

Enough with you Boston fuckers.

You mean when Hines Ward got the benefit of a holding call that resulted from the Defender grabbing him as he was going down courtesy of Ward's attempt to throw him down by his facemask.

Yeah, I did see that.

Game pick

I don't understand why people get upset if a person picks the Jags to win. I am a Del Rio fan and I can choose who I think will win, not on the pretense that if they happen to win, the pundits can say they said it would happen ahead of time and try to look "smart". Any team can win on any given weekend. Hell the Chiefs even won what 4 this year so anything can happen. A fumble, interception, blocked field goal, all type of pitfalls for a team that can lead to a lose. The Patriots are not invincible or they would have just called the playoffs off and given them the trophy up front. I think the Jags have a good chance. I may be wrong I may be right. But its my choice and I don't care if you want to have your nose up the Patriots ass that's your business. If the Pats win, good choice by you, you were right and I was wrong. Big deal. I've been wrong about s**t every day of my life just like you have.
