McIntosh SUX!

McIntosh will be a disaster at RT this year:

1) He was completely outmatched against Chicago
2) He is constantly injured; very little chance he will last 16 games
3) He whined from the very beginning about the position switch
4) He is 31 years old; not likely to improve this season

EDIT: APPLE SUX, TOO

Solutions:

1) Move Herb Taylor to RT
2) Start B-RICH!

I think consistency is better than ability when it comes to the offensive line. We need to get 5 guys playing together. KC already has 1.5 strikes against them with Albert being hurt, and McIntosh being in and out of the lineup all training camp.

If Albert can get back soon, and they move Taylor to RT right now, I am good with that. But moving guys around once the season starts, or for the final Preseason game is only going to highten the chances of repeat success from last season...regarding the O Line.

Me thinks your letting your lead in the 2008 King of the Noobs race give you too much swagger.

sure Mcintosh sucks but Svitek and all the others that come before him were disasters. Which hurts our chances much more tham simple suckage.

If KC was to move Herb Taylor over to start at RT, with Albert being at LT, than McIntosh would probably be the first backup off the bench for both positions. If both got hurt, than that forces McIntosh to stay at LT, and Barry Richardson to come in and play RT.

The Taylor move wouldn't be bad. However, it should have been done a long time ago...

Where is goqueer saying he is a very good OT? Remember his reports of how good he was last year in TC. OT's that bounce around from team to team do because they aren't very good not because of whatever excuse that pretend talent scout goqueer says.

Key difference between average teams and good/great teams is knowing when to cut bait. The Chiefs haven't done that in 20 years (sans Edwards); they seem to always be one or two years behind eveyone else in determining player X isn't working out.

Jesus...Svitek? WTF?....Guy hung around on 'potential'...

Chiefs PR machine is too afraid to say "F it, we screwed this one up" and move on.

He's a good pass-blocking LT, and we saw that last year in TC and during the regular season.

Not doing so well at RT. Which, BTW, I also reported during TC this year.

In short, PISS UP A ROPE.

I agree. But it's going to take time for Taylor to learn the new position. Moving from left to right tackle requires a completely different approach to playing the position. Once you move him to right tackle, you can't go back--you can't constantly move him back and forth between left and right. It's too much to ask of the guy.

The good news is, McIntosh is a natural left tackle, so you can move McIntosh to backup left tackle and then move Herb Taylor to right tackle. The problem is, you'll have to start Barry Richardson until Taylor is ready to play a different position. I personally don't think Richardson's all that great, but I think you need to use him until Taylor can be ready to play somewhere else on the line.

I don't think Taylor is the future for the Chiefs at LT. I do think he could have a bright future on the right side of the line.

The saddest part he was the teams second best offensive lineman last year. McIntosh is a stop gap solution and I suspect this is his last year in KC.

Just curious, if Herbie is doing OK at LT in the place of Albert, why should the Chief's move him to RT? It seems they have no depth anywhere on the line. Why not let Herb continue to groom at LT and then if necessary, move him? I would be more interested to see Herb continue to grow at LT and give the other youngsters a chance at RT. Either way, McKnees needs to go.....

Because Herb Taylor will never be the future at LT. Branden Albert is the future at LT. They drafted Albert in the first round to be the LT of the future. Herb Taylor will have to switch positions to make his mark on the Chiefs.

I understand that. Once Albert returns, the LT spot is his. I question why people want to move Taylor right now. Let Taylor get some experience at the LT spot until Albert is ready and then move him. Just makes sense to me to let the guy develop at a critical spot and then move him when need be. The Chief's got no one who has proved they could play LT.....
