Tradeback ?

If we were to trade back with say the bengals or 49ers so that they could get crabtree before Seattle, what kind of compensation would we be receiving? Im just curious because I have seen this discussed frequently on the planet. I know that trades in the top 5 are pretty infrequent, but just been wondering lately.

Thanks

I hope I never hear about Chase Daniel ever again, if someone wants to throw out mid/late round QB prospects throw out a legit one.

The complete overvaluing of OL on this forum at times is laughable, you don't need 5 1st round OL's hell most of the good teams have 1 or none...

And yes I know you're being tongue in cheek but it's in reference to that other guy, people should study up on this stuff before they post about it.

Sure seems that way..

Every time the Chiefs have a pretty high pick there are tons of threads and people that want to trade down in the worst way, trade down and take offensive lineman.

You might be right, but I'm not convinced that the 49ers would take him. He's one of those guys that a lot of teams have graded as a 2nd rounder. Yes, SF needs a QB, but if they are one of the teams that sees him as 2nd round talent, they aren't going to pull the trigger.

The only other team in picks 4-10 that I could see drafting him would be Seattle. If Cincy is going to lose TJ and Ocho Cinco, I could see a scenario in which they traded with the Chiefs to draft Crabtree. I'd be a little nervous that Seattle might take Sanchez in that scenario, but I would still put the odds at less than 1 in 3.

Other than that, the rest of the teams in those spots are pretty well set at QB. I would really love to see a swap with Cincy and then trade back again with Jacksonville. Under that scenario, we could still get Sanchez.

Mayock saying that he doesn't see Stafford or Sanchez as Top 10 talent. Said he doesn't see a Ryan or Flaco in this draft.

Very interesting. He nailed Ryan's pre-draft evaluation last year.

Don't know if I agree with him, but just watched, On the Road to the Draft, on NFL Network. They are at the Senior Bowl.

He said Staford has a real strong arm and can make every throw you want but is inaccurate at times and makes poor decisions. He said Sanchez worries him just because of his starting experience, but that he has a pretty big arm himself. Just don't see a Ryan or Flaco in the Draft right now. He said, "I am not ready to say that they are top ten talent"

Neither will do what Ryan or Flacco did this year next season but I see them as better prospects than Ryan.
