The Positive Thread

The Positive Thread

Let's focus on the good that came out of the draft.

Berry is a flat out stud. Nothing more to say.

McCluster has amazing game speed that will be very fun to watch on Sundays. He will be a threat to score from anywhere on the field.

Arenas is a winner, has excellent open-field tackling skills, and if the ball ends up in his hands he is a threat to take it the distance.

Asamoah is just a nasty lineman that will get the job done. He is the kind of guy that we cuss when he is on another team, but love because he is on our team.

Once again, let's keep it positive. If you want to vent, do it in one of the other 11tybillion threads.

He's good. He's just injury prone to hell. If we wrap him in bubble wrap before every game we might get lucky and he won't get hurt.

someone needs to make a thread for that McCluster v. Tennessee video that we just found on vimeo.com. (can't do it cuz I'm new and can't start threads yet)

It's a terrific look at his strengths and weaknesses, etc. Folks that aren't in these particular threads to see it should be able to get a look at it.

If they can keep him healthy(Big If, I know, POSITIVE), he could turn into the steal of the draft.

I don't get the TE thing, maybe if they combine him and O'Connell they can make 1 good TE.

well he DID run 4.4's during the pro day. That 4.6 shocked just about everyone because there's just no way that is his max speed considering that I've never seen anyone run him down in all the years I've watched him and the SEC is about as fast as it comes in college football.

I thought it was pretty funny.

I reminded me of the years following the Donks' championships.

Every one of the new players were the second coming of the championship players.

Nutt's OK I guess. As good as I could expect I suppose. If Jevan Snead hadn't sucked this past year I think Ole Miss coulda gotten to the BCS.

i think that there is a good chance that we dont take another o-lineman, just a feeling. and i also think it might be a good idea if pioli uses some picks from next year to make a move into this years 4th. couldnt hurt

Good thread. I really think we've done okay this draft. I wasn't sure what to think at first about the McCluster pick, but the more I think about it, the more I like it. I don't know a whole helluvalot about this kid, but wasn't somebody saying that he had actually ran mid 4.4 40 times before and that his listed time wasn't his best run?? If so, thats one fast little mofo. I'm liking the idea of an elusive receiver that can turn a short pass into a 20+ yard gain more and more all the time the more I think about it. And that he can return punts and kickoffs is an added plus. We're really not that bad off at all other than maybe that last reach of a pick, and I hope I'm eating crow on that one.

I am really excited about our O-Line pickups. Lilja and our Rookie should give us a little more to look forward to this year.

Maybe Charles can run a few yards before having to make his first cut.
