Watches: Citizen Eco-Drive, Tissot or Victorinox?
Looking for a new watch, and seem to have it narrowed down to three. Would love to spend $1000+ on a watch, but decided to keep it under $500.

I keep coming back to these - wondering if anyone has any experience with these specific watchmakers, or have any suggestions in my range.

Other than maybe looks, what can a $500 watch do that a $50-$150 watch can't?

FWIW, out of the 3 watches in the OP, the 2nd one is by far the best. The first looks kind of cheap and the Citizens looks busy to the point of obnoxious.

I like the Citizen Eco I have. 9 years and no battery replacement, runs on solar power. Hell, most of the time it sits on the kitchen counter and gets charged up by the flourescent lights in the kitchen.

$130 at Sears. It's not the top of the line like the OP is looking at, but I like that it doesn't need a new battery every year. And congrats on making a playoff spot . . . .

I've had a citizen Eco drive perpetual calendar titanium for almost 10 years and haven't had any issues that I didn't cause myself. The crystal is scratched up pretty good, but it's been reliable.

Get a Luminox had one for 20 years never a problem. Not as big as my Seamaster but I love it. Right in that 300 range.
