You really have it in for AJJ, huh? This must be the 20th post where you are blasting away at him. Dude has been pretty invisible and all, but it isn't like he's had years or lots of meaningful NFL passes come his way. I don't think he will ever be a really good WR, but he could develop into a decent slot WR.

Who knows the truth? All I can do is pass along what Matt Barrows said & the way I interpreted what he said was Jenkins lacks dedication and work ethic.

Was WAY better than this turd, even if it was only one season.
As a young homer, SlyMo got me hard in 2000.

Jackson, Blackledge and Sims were worse because they were so high in the draft. The difference between Baldwin busting and Sims busting is essentially an extra first rounder going bust (as it would take about that to move from 26 to 7). That's how hugely damaging those high first round busts are. That's why Jackson is such a disastrous pick. Every year there are 2-3 teams that get nothing from a late first rounder. It's just the nature of the beast. Baldwin's a disappointment, but historically, we'll have little to no recollection of him at all. Hell, Anthony Hancock was the 11th overall and did little more than Baldwin. Elmo Wright went 16 and is the same animal. Sid Smith is the only other time the Chiefs has selected 26 - who? Yeah, exactly. Dude was never a starter for the Chiefs and was cut in 3 years. You drama queens are out of your minds. Baldwin's nowhere near the worst pick in franchise history.

Morris caught 48 passes as a rookie and then was injured, ending his career. That's bad luck, not a bust.

The fact we got Houston of that pick too is a big deal.

I hear you, and that's sure disappointing. Still doesn't mean the change of scenery can't help him become some kind of useful.

If it's made clear that you have the option to make MILLIONS playing a game, or minimum wage bagging groceries, some people change. Neither of these guys have made a big enough payday to live a nice lifestyle without working outside football. If they want a second contract, they have to play to their potential.

Besides, the worst pick in franchise history will always be Steve Fuller.
As the 23rd overall selection in the 1979 draft, he was expected to be our next great signal caller. Joe Montana was the next quarterback taken. Fuller started 25 games in his first 2 seasons where he threw 16 TDs to 26 INTs. He was sacked 86 times, had a QBR of 67 and lost his job to Bill Kenney. That same year Joe Montana made the Pro Bowl and took his team to a championship. That, my friends, is a very bad draft pick. No, Jon Baldwin is not even on the radar in this discussion.
