Alex played the game of his life and he was BETRAYED by the defense

Alex Smith dropped 44 points on the Colts and somehow still lost. Alex is a hero. 44 points can win you a SUPERBOWL. What happened to the best defense in the league? They sure weren't out there tonight. You could cut all of them and it wouldn't matter. What matters is having Alex.

Granted, Bowe should have saved it by going limp and dragging his foot, but a true FQB, wouldn't have left that to chance of the WR having to make a spectacular play when it is the last play you are guaranteed to get.

Yeah, but it's not like his foot was completely in the white. I've seen Bowe make that catch in bounds before. Alex had to throw it like that because of the way the defender was dragging him towards the sideline.

I was talking about the last 6 possessions which once again you are factually wrong on, jock washer. It was nice of the defense to give the offense a layup on that first 2nd half TD though wasn't it?

Bowe gets 10 mil a year to make that catch. It wasn't the best throw, but he needs to catch that. It's on both of those guys.

I liked his play there, but let's not act like they drove 70-80 yards. The defense is mostly to credit there for the short field.

Exactly, and there is no response to the 4 turnovers with a short field that Alex was handed.

It was a team loss, including the coaches.

I guess asking the D for a stop is asking for to much. 4 TD drives under 2 in the 2nd half.

I'm fine with it being a team loss, but there's way too many people solely blaming Alex Smith, when he played a solid game. It's irritating.
