Is everyone forgetting what it was like this year BEFORE Thigpen?

Game ----- Pts , Opp, Def Rank

1st game - 10 pts @ Pats, 9th
2nd game - 8 pts Raiders, 23rd
3rd game - 14 pts @Atlanta, 11th
4th game - 33 pts Broncos, 27th
5th game - 0 pts panthers, 3rd
6th game - 10pts titans, 1st

12.5 ppg, 12.3 def avg rk

it looked like we would never score 100 pts this season

Thigpen becomes starter

7th game - 24 pts @jets, 16th
8th game - 27 pts buccs, 4th
9th game - 19 pts @chargers, 19th
10th game - 20 pts saints, 24th
11th game - 30 pts buffalo, 14th

24 ppg, 15 def avg rk

not bad for a guy who has only started 5 games in his life and who didn't face top competition in college.

I don't know why you guys are so upset anyway this franchise will make the safe pick it's what they do, they'll go with Thigpen as their game manager and take another defensive lineman to see if the coaches can ruin yet another highly drafted Dlineman.

Middle of the pack...

Trust me, we know you're biased, but answer as honestly as you can.

Had Thigpen started the season, and this team even played average defense, what would their record be?

With even a below average defense, instead of a God-awful one, 24+ points per game will get you a win more often than not.

But go ahead, blame the losses completely on Thigpen...

And you'lll whine about it like you do everything else.

Sky is blue.

Water is wet.

And Mecca will bitch if the Chiefs don't do exactly what HE thinks they should do.

I'm still laughing @ 3500 yards, 32 TD's and 16 INT's as a game manager...

If you think the Chiefs play like that when they're in games....look how they played in the games where they had leads....that's all you need to know about what the Chiefs want in a QB.

Yes he'd have those numbers if the Chiefs were actually able to to stay in games right? Notice the 2nd halfs when the Chiefs were leading or in games.

We went through this exact same shit with Croyle last year.....it's the same thing with a different name. He looks good a few times bad at others and people are ready to call him on par with guys with top 5 grades on them.

Com'on mecca.

I realize that the chances are good that Thigpen will not be able to adapt to a pro set, and that this team would be stupid to pass on Matt Stafford, even if they believe that Thigpen can be their QB over the long haul, but you know as well as I that the primary reason the numbers dropped for Thigpen in second halves of games we were leading is that we stopped attacking downfield.

Uh, no, we didn't.

Brodie Croyle has ZERO games with more than 220 passing yards, and ONE with multiple TD passes. In his career.

Thigpen has FOUR games over 220, and FOUR with multiple TD passes.

In 6 starts.

No comparison.
