Are some of you a bit too cocky heading into the postseason??

It's one thing to think positive and support your team as it gets ready to begin it's postseason but it's a whole other thing to think 50 years of failure won't rear it's head and take a big bite out of your ass once again so keep the hard-ons to a minimum and take a look at those big titties in my avatar.

Nothing is ever 100%, but 50 years says something will happen to us before "their something" happens to all the other 31 teams in the league, but we'll "learn" from it when it happens.

But who knows, this might be the year the NFL allows us to win. Just to keep things interesting.

I was on you tube today and last years Rams/Chiefs game highlights popped up in my feed from the NFL.

Mahomes made so many poor decisions that he doesn’t even come close to making a year later. He is a way way better QB. There is legitimate reasons to be hopeful besides the improved defense.

But every year is a new year!!! And NOBODY know it more than the Chiefs "Promotions 'n shit" department. Always selling the dream...

That being said, this might be our year. I'll get more invested when we've won the AFCCG.

I didn’t think this sounded accurate....

“Over the last five seasons, all 10 conference championship games have been won by the home team: Nine by 1-seeds, and one by the 2-seeded Falcons in the 2016 season. As a result, four of the last five Super Bowls have been between a 1-seed and a 1-seed, and the fifth was between a 1-seed and a 2-seed.”

This was written last year prior to the CCGs, so add two #2s to the list. The point being in recent history #3 or lower seeds not only rare but non-existent in Super Bowls.

That's a valid argument only if you believe that 1) injuries should not be considered as a part of this discussion, and 2) a team can't change or improve over the course of a year.

This team is not like any other Chiefs team in my memory. They've overcome an onslaught of injuries to starters that spread over more than half the season and they still managed to win at least 11 games. 11 wins against one of the most difficult schedules in the league. Maybe 12. They're peaking now, at the end of the season. Not a hot start and later a return to reality. They have trended upwards, steadily. And they can beat a team in any phase of the game, offense, defense or special teams. We know this because they've done this.

It's not cockiness to admit that. At all. That's just acknowledging what this team is and how good they really are. They've overcome adversity, they've struggled through difficulties, and despite everything, whether it's been the installation of a new defensive system and new personnel, whether it's fighting through a slew of injuries including weeks without last year's MVP, they are still an 11 or 12 win team. Just set the injuries aside, and we're probably talking about a 15-1 or 14-2 season.

This is not a fluke. The other shoe does not have to drop. This is as complete a team as Kansas City has seen in decades. Does that mean they sleep walk through January? Hell, no. Everybody is good now, anyone can win any game. But this team...this team is solid in a way that I think anyone in or outside of KC can see and acknowledge.

For once, we're the team the opponent doesn't want to see coming for them, and it's no sin to admit that.

Still doesn't guarantee they win anything...

I cannot believe what wet blanket, sad-sack mother****ers some of y'all are.

Are some fans overconfident in their team heading into the play-offs? What the ****?

WE'RE FANS. Y'all act like what we think has some bearing on the actual outcome.

COCKY? **** no, nobody's cocky. Nobody ASSUMES we're just going to cakewalk to the Lombardi.

Personally, I BELIEVE. I BELIEVE that this team is DIFFERENT than those others.

Some of that is Patrick; but as we saw last year, he can't do it by himself.

Guess what? He doesn't have to.

We have a DEFENSE that is to be reckoned with now too.

Honey Badger, and Clark, and Jones, and Ward, and Thornhill, and the whole damned group is playing tough, disciplined football.

And so I BELIEVE. You want to be a sad-sack sitting around, pulling your panties apart with your doubt and your fear of getting your heart broken, you go ahead and **** right off.

I BELIEVE. This team is special. In Patrick I trust. In Honey Badger I trust. In Spags I trust. And yeah, in Andy I trust too. This is his most complete team.

Nobody thinks it's going to be easy. I just don't know how some of you LIVE when you're so scared of your own ****ing shadow you can't even enjoy the good times in your hobbies and entertainment. For ****'s sake.

It's like you WANT to just come back here in February and bitch about what went wrong. Like it's just your routine, and don't want it disrupted.

You do you, but I BELIEVE.

This very well could be the most balanced team since 1971. And you're asking football fans that are known for being fanatical, who follow an intense sport, who are probably overconfident in real life, let alone are posting with anonymity, to a place where they mostly just come to vent, if they're too cocky? You should be promoted from lieutenant to captain obvious
