Andy Reid, then and now.

This was a post from 2015 responding to how Denver wouldn't be Denver the next year. Some interesting notes on Reids coaching and decisionmaking here.

Andy Reid will be personally responsible for at least a quarter of the season's worth of losses once again due to his complete lack of ability to call plays relevant to the current situation.

Should I go for it on 4th down or punt for 17 yards of field position like against San Francisco?

8 years later and still doing the surrender punts. So, this isn't likely to stop.

Run the ball? Sounds hard.

It's a lot more defensible now that he has the best qb on the planet, but there are times in big games where running the ball could have turned things around. Superbowl 55 and the AFCCG second half meltdown to the Bengals come to mind.

We're up 28 points in the 3rd quarter of a playoff game? Keep throwing.

Could that horrific Colts loss be the catalyst for why we pump the brakes so hard and play terrible offensive football when we are ahead now?

Jamaal just busted his biggest run of the season on the opening drive of the third quarter? Give him 4 more carries the rest of the football game.

We see this happen with Pacheco. Clyde coming into the game to run the football, it just never makes sense.

Kelce keeps making big plays when he's on the field? Sub in Fasano.

This is now happening with Rashee Rice. I swear anytime the kid makes a play he's riding the bench for ten minutes.

1st and goal at the 1 inch line? TIME OUT!! TIME OUT!! Gotta think this over. What the hell play can I possibly call here? Can we take 2 timeouts in a row? I really need the time here......

Ah look. He sucked at short yardage back then too. Cool.

Alex Smith will continue to be the same "safe throw or sack" QB he has been. In combination with Reids complete and utter stupidity on gameday at times, this simply will not overcome that. This is how you lose to the dregs of the NFL.

We've lost some laughers, but not because we have a safe throw or sack qb. Colts last year, donks this year, and we've played down to some terrible teams in the Mahomes era.

Reid's been doing this for nearly two decades, peeps. Just as his atrocious eating habits are destroying his body and health with no changes forthcoming, the dumbshittery of this lardass will continue to destroy the playoff chances of the Kansas City Chiefs.

What a difference having the best qb that ever lived makes.

Some interesting things there, like I hadn't remembered he was so bad with short yardage and took timeouts on the goal line.

The surrender punting Jesus Christ I mean maybe you can justify that because you have zero faith in Alex Smiths parallel to the line of scrimmage passing attack to get it, but to continue this with Mahomes? Come on. Now.

Taking the young guys out of the game right after a big play....I just don't get it.

Maybe the most interesting is that loss of aggression with the lead. Because up 28 on the Colts, his continuing to press the attack and failing allowed all those free clock stoppages and allowed the Colts the time to come back.

For the most part, he's the same dude doing the same dumb shit he was doing 8 years ago, he just has a better qb now.

So, what's the argument here, "you cannot preside over two of the worst playoff collapses in NFL history, and also lose to a team that couldn't score a td on you in your own stadium if you don't make the playoffs a lot?"

Cool.

Nobody cares about the Alex Smith playoff losses anymore. Andy made up for that by drafting Mahomes.

Are you seriously shitting on a coach that is responsible for hosting 5 AFC Championship games, going to the Super Bowl 3X and winning 2 of them. AND we have a great shot to get back there again?

No other coach is doing what Andy is. There's a reason he's the best in the business. Go ahead and take some stupid ass coach and their dumbass flaws bc like it or not Andy is better.

Meh, shoes are weird for pricing. I have an original pair of Jordan 1s that are worth a ton of money, but if you saw me wearing them you wouldn’t think much of it. I’m sure he has some Luchesse dress shoes or something from Gucci that he’s super proud of and he wears to his favorite Turkish bath house on Friday nights.

Sure you can, because yet again he was still doing more without an elite or HOF QB than pretty much anyone.

Now for my comment again........Take a look at the winningest HCs of all time in the regular season and in SBs and show how many of them were as successful as Reid without an elite or at least HOF QB.

You won't answer it because you can't. Andy finally has his HOF QB and is doing what other HCs did when they got theirs.

Cool.

What the hell? Does throwing it too much always work? No. Does running it all the time work? No. Andy has won enough game with 2 teams and many QBs to get more respect.

One of the most entertaining things about CP is the morons who just can’t grasp they are morons and continually try to prove it, and keep failing.

It is pure hilarity.

We all have dumb takes sometimes but the real fun is the ones who can’t seem to make a good one no matter how hard they try.
