The reason this gets brought up for one race is because 70% of players are black. You’d expect a significant pool of future coaches who have high football iq and leadership skills. Plus the unique experience of playing in big games.
Well then this is where your ****ing logic sucks.

70% of players have no ****ing clue whats/what outside of their position. More over 90% players are not ****ing leaders, how many captains per a team again?

Again,
EB was a running back, now hes a OC... BUT HE STILL DOESN'T KNOW WHEN TO RUN THE ****ING BALL.......

Just because you played a single part on a football field doesn't give you qualifications to run an ENTIRE team. This isn't the NBA were coaches basically just watch and suggest shit.

As a HC in the NFL its so much more than the game, so miss me with the 70% of players are black thus they should be HC's nonsense.

You might as well have said, "since racism is damn near impossible to prove, there's no issue"

I'll preface this by saying this is not an exhaustive list, because we see how you get hyperfocused on one specific example and refuse to look at the bigger picture.

But just off the top of my head, along with EB:

Kris Richard
Teryl Austin
Byron Leftwich
Pep Hamilton
Todd Bowles (2nd chance)
Lezlie Frazier (2nd chance)

All have either more experience and/or an equal/better resume than guys like Daboll, Eberflus, Judge, Ruhle, Kingsbury, Taylor, Stayley, etc - and most of them only have sham interviews (if any interviews) to show for it.

Must just be a freak coincidence that none of them were hired over the guys that were picked.

And again, this list is not all inclusive, and just reflects the last few years. If someone had the time to research, I'm guessing you'd see similar examples.

Byron Leftwitch would literally be a HC today if he wasn’t also demanding that the team fire their current GM and hire his guy. I get why he’s doing it, but it’s a pretty big demand for a first time HC.

He still has a shot to end up with that job. The rest of that list is so weak I’m just going to ****ing laugh.

Hilarious that you are honestly trying to say that some of those guys are as good as Daboll, who has obviously helped turned Josh Allen into a super star, and Taylor, who is currently in the ****ing SB.

You’re reaching so hard here and it’s completely obvious that you’re one of those Chiefs fans that is clueless when it comes to the rest of the NFL.

I think its pretty simple, in baseball, hockey and the NBA you don't have 7 or 8 different position groups not including ST. Offense and defense specifics along with ST specifics makes for a lot of moving parts and personnel.

You don't have near as many assistant coaches and staff in the other sports let alone players.

Being a HC is as much about managing many separate groups as it is X's and O's. Simply playing a position in the NFL for a bunch of years wont prepare you for most of that. It takes time and work in different areas to learn the whole job.

I think that's one big reason not a lot of ex NFL players end up wanting to be head coaches. Its like starting over at the bottom again.

Funny, you didn't seem to have a problem with Ryan Poles making a similar demand.

Also, there are like 6 other openings. Shouldn't be JAX or bust for him.

This comes back to the claim in the filing that black coaches aren't given the same advantages.

Would you have an issue with a white candidate asking for a new GM? Trent Baalke is awful, Leftwich was well within his rights to ask.

Lets be honest here, you have no real idea what these guys resumes look like other than where they were standing prior. You don't know what others say about them, you don't know about their job performance, their ability to multitask, their ability to articulate a long term plan or strategy. You don't know much of anything other than their skin color and how long they have been around.

There’s not a smart Chiefs fan that would take somebody like Kris Richard, Teryl Austin, Todd Bowles, or Leslie Frazier over Daboll or Taylor if Reid were to retire today.

Anybody that says they would us either full of shit or dumb.

Only 15 black HCs have been hired for 129 openings since the Rooney Rule was created.

Or are you unwilling to believe that there might be a problem with NFL hiring practices?
What percentage would be considered acceptable? Just wondering. People always say there should be more black coaches but they never quote an exact figure. Like politicians saying fair share.

1/32 is an issue. You can debate all day long about what is the cause of that issue. But it is blatantly an issue.

If you’re disappointed with who’s in the pipeline that doesn’t mean there aren’t doZens of very qualified underused and under appreciated coaches who have been overlooked for years. Do you really think there are actually only 2 black candidates 40-50 qualified to be coach? That doesn’t make any sense at all given the nfls supposed diversity efforts. If you think EB poorly represents the best of what’s available you should be asking why there aren’t more options? Very highly doubt it has anything to do with lack of talent.

So your system of fairness assumes that black coaches were well developed and advanced throughout their career. The shockingly small pipeline is likely way more a reflection of organizational failure to recruit and develop talent than it is black coaches simply not qualified.

GMs hire HCs all the time. The Bears didn’t have a current HC. Poles wanted to be able to make the decision on their HC. That’s pretty standard.

A first time HC saying “fire your current GM, I want my guy” is not the same thing.

Nice try though dumbass.
