And by the way, Aaron Rodgers has some of the worst RBs and O-line to support him. And Rodgers, Brees, Brady, and Peyton have all excelled with some shitty supporting casts due to injury. Rodgers played in a Super Bowl with his #3 guy as his #1. Brees once played with Terrence Copper as one of his #1 guys. Peyton played with Garcon as his #1 once. You need to understand the concepts. The original comparison, was from VICK, AND CAM, TO ALEX, I wasn't the one who brought up Manning and Rodgers, I was just as floored as you were

Alex Smith isn't. And it's going to cost us.

I also don't think Alex Smith is good in the red zone. If you take a look, he threw the fewest TD passes in the entire NFL in 2011 when his team was in the red zone. His completion percentage and, of course, yardage, was also extremely low.

When the opposing team knows your QB can't put the ball in the end zone, bad things happen to your offense. That's just common sense.

Who were his receivers in 2011. 3rd time today I have called you on this, and all of them you have ducked. You know that supporting cast was shitty. And the Ironic thing about the red zone in 2011. That was considered a strong suit of Alex Smiths prior to 2011. And Kaepernick did NO better when he took over.

Wrong. They were down by 3. A fg would of sent it to over time. Alex Smith made that play happen. And he has thrown a lot of passes like that. 6 come back wins led by him that year.....and it wasn't his only game winning td pass either. Beat the Lions at Detroit like that.

Yes, a qb self teaching the offense to a team that he doesn't have a contract with because of the lockout, when your number one wide out refuses to come learn it, and then misses training camp, and all of the preseason with pussitis. His number one receiving threat says that he didn't understand the offense until week 10, saying that he was so frustrated that he wanted to quit. yeah, I agree. Shouldn't use the season that was most recent and actually showed what alex could do with solid players around him, and having complete control of the offense. I too choose to use what best fits my description and perception of a player.

Dude sucks ass, but had a decent deep ball that noone respected. Steelers let Tremens run wide open and were shocked to see the fullback deliver it on the money. Those guys are nothing special at all.

I had completely forgotten about the lock out aspect of that season.

Bridgewater has had one good season against mediocre competition and he's on the south side of 200 lbs.

Murray is completely erratic who performs at his worst in the bigger games. He's also shorter than what you want in a starting NFL QB. He's a fifth year senior in 2013 and if he was as good as he's supposed to be, he would have been in this past draft as the talent level supposedly wasn't as high as it usually is, but he decided to stay and enter the 2014 draft. That should tell you a lot about the 2014 draft class right there.

McCarron is average at best supported by a legit NFL offensive line and a NFL talent level defense.

David Fales is a poor man's version of Barkley. He's got a nice arm, but absolutely zero mobility. On the season (2012) he had 42 rushing attempts for -139 yards.

None of these guys are even close to being in the same class as Geno or Barkley or even Manuel in terms of a pro prospect. Bridgewater is probably closest, but his numbers come against sub-par competition and he's scrawny as hell.

If the Chiefs didn't draft Geno or Barkley for Reid's west coast system, you sure as shit aren't going to see one of these guys next year.

The desire from some fans for this team drafting any QB in the first round no matter who the hell it is is utterly amazing.

Admittedly, I haven't watched most of those players very thoroughly but I'd say this is pretty much in line with my thoughts. I would say you could probably add the kid from UNC to the list but that's due to hype and not because I've watched him.
