Eleventybillion to-one odds on Marty ever "going for it" in his entire ****ing career.

God that drove me nuts back in the day.
Marty never understood that actually going for it would catch the other team off guard completely. Shit it probably would have been an easy free play the other team would be in so much shock.

How do you NOT go for it on a play like 4th and inches when you have Marcus Allen? I remember people getting mad as Hell at the bar when Marty would puss-out like that.

As to our current defense; I'm stoked about the Flowers/Berry-combo. If those two eventually become our "Thomas/Smith"-combo of the Secondary, I'm going to really enjoy watching this team again, and maybe I will finally get to yell "**** YEAH" instead of "**** YOU" on a regular basis at the TV for a change.

Montanna VS Favre maybe, Montanna VS Horseface, sorry
Seriously though, I remember catching some of this game once.
Really made me appreicate how much of a field General Montanna was.
Never did see teh 4thy quarter, must have to sit and watch it.

It's too bad that Montana and Favre never played against each other.

They were always 1 year off from playing eachother. As soon as Montana went to KC, Favre played against SF. And as soon as Montana retired, Bono was the QB. So they missed again.

I finally watched the end of the game last night. On the last play before the winning TD, Montana threw a pass to Greene just past the outstretched arm of Elijah Alexander. I would have never noticed that, but they cut to Alexander after the play and I was like, "Hey! I know that guy!" His son was on the same baseball team that I coached with my son a few years back. I remember the first day of practice and I had my Jayhawk hat on(He went to K-State). The next day at practice, I show up with my Chiefs hat on(he played for the Broncos and Raiders)....hehehe. Decent guy though once he loosened up a bit.

I tivo'd it and had to keep rewinding the part where he was pacing the sideline at the end,you could tell he was nervous as hell and had an idea that it wasn't going to turn out well.
