Zilla acts like the Chiefs go full Herm RRPP with the lead. It's one of the stupider things he's posted...

They don't "struggle". You just aren't scoring 40 ****ing points every game in the NFL. NOBODY ever does that.

It is our best chance.

I am just hoping our bitching gets through to Andy Reid. The bitching wasn't enough to get rid of a DC who was clearly unqualified. And I suspect it's not enough to make him change the way he protects leads.

But I'm still hopeful that enough bitching will finally get through to him. If not him, then to Clark Hunt. Because these are actually fixable things.

Don't get me wrong - I'm nervous about this year, as we're as close to a legit Super Bowl team as we've been since probably 2003. But that fact doesn't change the fact that next year is when all of the stars should finally align.
I'd be fine with the thought process that next year is the year, but we're left praying that scumbag Bob Sutton is finally shown the door. We're also left praying that Veach actually learns how to scout defensive talent and signs something other than overpaid trash in free agency. What hope do we have currently that next year will be any better than this year?

The Chiefs struggled big time against SF, Denver (game 2), Arizona, Jacksonville in the 2nd half. Not just struggled. Were flat out terrible.

In SD, other than one penalty-aided drive, we had two ugly 3-and-outs.

Against Pitt/SD, we went up 21 and 14 in the first half, then like clockwork fell totally asleep on offense and let the other team crawl back.

That's 6 or 7 games in this season alone where we've seen it happen.

If you are such a miserable **** that you can't enjoy a season like this, there is no reason for you to keep watching.

There's a difference between losing big leads to Beathard, Bortles, Rosen, and Keenum vs. doing that same thing to Rivers, Watson, Brady, Luck. The type of QBs you see every week in the playoffs.

We have to close out games with the intent of winning, not playing not to lose.

Sorry, I don't play that game. I'm not miserable about anything.

But I see no issue whatsoever with fans putting pressure on Reid to change. He stubbornly didn't listen when everyone told him to can Sutton. He still hasn't figured out how to hold a lead. These are things he can change. Without the pressure, history tells us he won't change anything.

We can still enjoy watching while not settling for things that can actually be changed.

This board is in the midst of a holy war between those who think Mahomes has flipped the script on our playoff hopes and those trauma victims who are letting past seasons' PTSD overwhelm them.

I'm a part of the former but I understand the latter. Either way, this season isn't going to settle the debate. So just enjoy the ride for the time being and understand that this season isn't an all-or-none proposition.
