The way the yakkety yaks are ganging up on Hub Arkush is a sign that this has become a Confederacy of Dunces scenario.

Arkush makes a good point that Rodgers was a detriment to his team this off-season. Arkush should have expressed his opinion without mentioning that he is a voter. But the yakkety yaks are not being truthful about what was said.

And, the yakkety yaks are not mentioning how last year's MVP lacked physical courage on 3rd down in last year's NFC Championship.

Probably should lose his right to be able to vote. MVP doesn't matter if you are a jerk or not.

Detriment to his team? So bad that they are the 1 seed.

Is Rodgers an arrogant jerk? It is very likely. But that shouldn't be why you don't vote for him.
I don't agree with it but I thought Arkush's point about Rodgers keeping the Packers in limbo and holding up their offseason was a fair point. Obviously, when you look at Rodgers' work on the field, the offseason drama didn't matter at all. Jordan Love in the Chiefs' game is all you need to know where the Packers would have been without Rodgers.

I never heard the story about Zimmerman. Although Zimmerman had a holier than thou, I'm the gatekeeper attitude toward Hall of Fame candidates that were on the fence.

You really continue to expose your stupidity with each subsequent post.

1) His performance in LAST season's NFC Championship Game has no impact on his candidacy for THIS season's MVP race. It's two different seasons... a relatively simple concept that obviously you don't understand.

2) Aaron Rodgers has been such a "detriment" that he's only led his team to the best record in the NFL, and the #1 seed in the NFC.

Yes Rodgers' constant blaming his inability to take part in preseason activities thanks to his 'valve' and constant opining about the puerility of modernism has been a total setback to the Packers 13 win season.

1. His offseason saga was a pain in the ass. That is a fair point.

2. But the team has 13 wins and the #1 seed in the NFC. Whatever issues present in the offseason have vaporized. So who cares how they pertain to the 2021 MVP? Unless that dipstick thinks the Packers should be undefeated. His status only cost the team a possible win against the #2 team in the AFC. Which still didn't hurt GB because the Packers are the #1 seed.

3. That play was pathetic last year. But it has nothing to do with the 2021 MVP.

His entire argument is that Rodgers is a jerk. OK, maybe he is, and maybe that has hurt the team in the playoffs. But it hasn't harmed the team so far for 2021.

Yep. Drafting Love now feels like a tone-setting move from LaFleur and the FO, and then they dared Aaron to move on after all the drama he created in the offseason.

As you said, they called his bluff, and they were right. It paid off for Rodgers, too, though I doubt he'd ever look at it that way.
