The **** do you think cooked means?

This is just as bad as the dipshit who said that we brought back Bieniemy so the rest of the season is lost.

Exactly. I fail to see why this is such a huge issue.

People are acting like Clark is the solution to the DE problem when it's pretty ****ing clear that restructuring is the solution to the CLARK problem.

There's no perfect answer here. The only GOOD answer is they shouldn't have traded for him in the first place and you can't change the past.

I said earlier that I though this might be a way for the Chiefs to put the decision squarely on him. He wasn't cut, he chose not to stay.

If the Raiders brought back their useless defensive end who caught 2 gun charges in 1 off season and quit on plays ya'll would be laughing your asses off but since it's the Chiefs this is a great move!

Nobody said it’s a good move.

You said this team is “cooked” if they make it.

You can disagree with the move, while realizing how ridiculous that is.

Joking aside, I’m fine with this.

We need cap space and DL. He fills a spot and this clears cap space. Realistically, we won’t have 8 DL better than him. Spags rotates these guys, so I’m fine with him in the rotation if he’s cheaper. Significantly cheaper.

I can't speak for anybody else but I generally don't comment on, nor do I really care, what other teams do.

As for this being a great move, you didn't see me post that nor will you. It's not a great move.

But it may be a NECESSARY move. The Chiefs HAVE to clear Clark's cap hit and if they can clear more by keeping him than cutting him, it's just the way it is.

Exactly this. If we're on the hook for his salary anyway?

1. Restructure the deal, use the savings to bring Ogbah back to add depth and draft someone for the future.

2. Win another Super Bowl

3. Profit

Yeah, but that's not possible. I mean they can keep him and tack on voidable years and shit, but he's still drawing some 'sort' of salary while being a useless waste of space.

They need to just eat the sunk cost and move on with someone that can possibly improve.

If he is, they’ll have a 1st or 2nd round rookie behind him, and somebody like Za’Darius Smith on the other side.

So no, it doesn’t mean they will be “cooked”.

No, I don't. Right now, I'm not even convinced he'll be back.

The Chiefs have had an offer on the table for like 2 weeks and he hasn't signed it so that tells me he's still angling.

It's entirely possible to reduce his 2022 cap hit and be more active in free agency, although that means they're just pushing the bad money to the right.

Not saying I like it - I would much prefer that they cut him - but I'm also not going to have a meltdown over it either.
