IronMan Fever!!!
I have a bunch of friends who have called and want to go see IronMan. Plus, the beautiful and witty Mrs. FAX wants to see it, as well. Unfortunately, the calls kept coming in and they all want to go at different times. I'm willing to see the movie ... maybe 3 times, but not 6 or 7 in the same weekend. Therefore, a quandry results. How do I decide who to go see IronMan with and who I regrettably turn down? At this point, I've said "yes" to everybody.

Any advice?

I wonder if they will ever be able to pull off a huge Marvel war.

I read comics when I was a kid, and was captivated by villans who could only be confronted by the entire Marvel universe.

Anyone ever heard of Thanos? How about the Infinity Gauntlet?

Yeah. I wasn't really a fan of either of the Fantastic Four movies.

Pretty excited about Ironman and TDK, though.

Except for the Magus, but that is the glove that Thanos created. The equivelent to God in the Marvel universe. If you haven't read these books check them out.

I loved them.......when I about 12.

It wouldnt work in a movie. Maybe a 4-season series, but a movie? No way. Too much stuff going on, and if they cram it in, it will look rushed with no acting and no story, just non-stop action.

I have a hypothesis that superhero groups dont seem to be as good in the movies (X-Men, Fantastic 4) for this reason. It works in the books because you have many, many pages to develop characters ad infinitum. In the movies, you have 120-180 minutes to fully develop and tell compelling stories involving a ton of characters. Can't be done, at least not well. A lead or two with a few supporting cast members can work, but anything more than that and it has to be on TV.

Yup. That would be about the only way. The books are noty very long, and by that time there will probably be a movie or two about almost everyone, so digging to deep into individual characters would not be necassary.
