Agreed.

LJ isn't a bad back right now. He's just behind the wrong offensive line. Charles is a better fit for a bad offensive line. That doesn't make LJ bad. You just got to get LJ to the second level. That's where he's dangerous. More often than not, he's getting caught in the backfield before he can even turn the burners on.

I'm sorry, but Charles isn't exactly special in my book. I won't shed a tear if he was also let go.
I'm not comparing Priest to Charles in any other way than weight alone. How could you even get that I was comparing the two in any other way than that from my post? WOW.

Charles IS TEN TIMES better in the passing game than LJ. Drops the easy ones? Give me a fuckin break. Charles is an excellent receiver out of the backfield.

He's not special in your book because he hasn't gotten a chance to be the featured back. Even when LJ went down last season, they stuck Kolby Smith in there for God knows what reason.

It's time to give Charles a chance. I'll take a fumble or two with the potential of a big play rather than watch LJ slam in the back of his lineman again and again and again and again and again and again. Even with a hole he has no explosion.

I apologize for being late to respond to this discussion. Charles is better than LJ, yeah, one some areas of the game. The big knock on Charles is that he fumbles the ball. And another issue that I have with Charles, he only have straight-line speed. Everything else he is "meh" in. When he gets hit on contact, he goes down. He doesn't have the agility that would make people miss.

His legs are toothpicks, and he has fumblitis, not to mention he goes down too easy. If he's hit in the first level, that's it, no gain. If he's in space, look out. He's an average receiver, drops the easy ones too often which negates a lot of attempts to get him in space.
