Eric Berry throwing temper tantrums while telling the other guys where to line up is telling of just how badly these players are being prepared for game day. We're 16 weeks in, and yet guys don't even know where they're supposed to line up at times. Laughably bad.

I'd love to see if there is an analytic source for tackling from year-to-year. Is it a true sustainable and repeatable skill for most players (save the Marcus Peters and Deions of the world), or is a defense's tackling mostly random?

For example, the LOB was an excellent tackling secondary. Pete Carroll is still there, but the players are different. Are the new players nearly as good at tackling?

Don't think so.

It's definitely looking more and more likely that defense is more about talent first and adding good coaching to said talent 2nd.

You can't always do that.
And again, it's not about scoring on every possession. It's the repeated pattern of 3 and out drives when we have a big lead. It's the pattern of the exact moment when our offense predictably stalls... not just a little... a lot.

SF - 6-and-out, 3-and-out, before Kareem basically took over the last drive
Denver - Three 3 and outs, one 2-play INT drive, 1 weak 5-play 13 yard drive
Arizona - 3 out of 5 drives were three and outs
Jacksonville - total slop of a 4th quarter
SD - 2 of the last 3 drives were 3 and outs (if not for a 3rd and 10 holding call, that Chiefs TD could easily have been a 3 and out)

Who makes the decision of which talent sees the field on game day? Or more bluntly, who is the stupid old mother****er that allows Ron Parker to play all of the defensive snaps?

Ok, so

Against SF when it's 35 10 at the half, you're wanting them to come out in the 2nd half and what? Throw it aggressively around?

Look at the teams you are upset with. Look at the defenses. You are expecting the Chiefs to just mow teams down possession after possession? Against those defenses, every time?

Our team doesn't struggle with adjustments when we're behind. Our offense was outstanding against Baltimore, New England, LA Rams (minus the turnovers... of course).

Is it just a coincidence that we make really good offensive adjustments when we're behind? Because it sure seems to me it's less about adjustments, and more that our offense & defense abandon everything that worked when we have a lead and look like a totally different team out there. It's clear as day that when we get a lead, we try to hold not to lose instead of going for the throat.

The Chiefs have scored more than the opponents season average in EVERY game. Usually by more than a TD. He's nuts. No team in HISTORY has done what he expects Mahomes to do. We are THIRD ALL TIME in scoring.
