I have to say that the Lakers having won 10 straight seem to be better than any of the last championship teams. Not only that but they are relaxed and having fun like none of the other teams ever have. It's weird watching Kobe joking with Shaq and Carl and Payton. The confidence is just oozing out of their pours. It's like they already know they have won it all. The D is playing great. Offensive boards are off the scale. This team has just beginning to gel and they are already unbeatable IMO. The only thing that can stop them now is a major injury or two.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you never heard me say any of that about the Lakers. They are the NY Yankees of basketball and as such are willing to spend any amount of cash to bring marqee players to their forum, oops the staples center.

I have just made comments, and rightly so, that they have not been playing up to championship calliber. Game 3 was a valiant effort but was helped by very poor shooting by the Spurs. I didn't watch game 4 so I have no comment. Obviously the Lakers won so they held serve, but holding serve won't be enough, they must take one game at San Antonio, whichever one they take it will mean the series if they do.

As far as the Sharks are concerned, I refer you back to our phone conversation where I said, It wouldn't surprise me if the Flames upset the Sharks. Although it is beginning to look as though the Flames are simply the better team from both a defensive and work ethic standpoint.

Not looking good for the Sharks. One out of two in Calgary would be nice, but a 2 game sweep is very unlikely, possible and probably necessary for them to get back in this series.

Dude the Lakers have been under the salary cap every year. There are a lot of teams that break that soft cap. That is a horrible example.

The Knicks, Blazers, Mavericks, Timberpups and Queens all have higher salaries higher than the Lakers with the knicks almost spending 50% more. Players just want to play for the Lakers, can you blame them? That Yankees comparison is way out of line. Every one of Kobe's and Shaq's world championships was done under the cap.

As a Spurs fan, I'm not totally shocked to see the last two games played out the way they did. Despite the Media's claim as Bowen being a 'Kobe stopper', Kobe is historically the one that burns the Spurs. If he is putting up 30+ points with good FG percentage, the Spurs are usually in trouble.

I can't understand why Popovich isn't using Kevin Willis more in defense of Shaq. Rasho is to slow and cumbersome, Horry isn't strong enough, and Malik is just two small. Duncan will never win the battle of the calls with Shaq so he can't be on him.

If Bowen can't keep Kobe from putting up 40 points, he is worthless to the Spurs in this series. Ginobili or Devin Brown will at least force Kobe to respect their scoring ability so he can't help off so much on defense.

The Lakers got to the line entirely too much in the last two games, but that's what usually happens inthe NBA. The home team typically plays more aggressive, gets the benefit of the calls and gets to the line. i expect the Spurs to get to the line quite a bit in SA.

Speaking of foul shots, does anyone else find it freaking ridiculous that SA has been called for 3 lane violations on free throws by Shaq in this series? This is the same Shaq that violates the lane on nearly half his attempts!! That is just some lame officiating. I don't think the refs are the reason SA lost, I just think that is lame officiating.

Basically it's a rule that lets teams keep their current players by signing them to contracts over the salary cap. It's a huge advantage to the team that wants to keep it's players. Boston first did it with Larry Bird, thus the name...

Anyway, congrats to your boys for tying the series. I still say the Spurs in 6 or less...
