lol well to be fair, the type of tornados predicted tonight are the large violent wedge types....

Yeah, they're predicting the potential for long-track violent tornadoes but at least here in Iowa, they're saying the setup isn't looking now like Friday's so the threat here may be more wind and hail.

Who knows at this point.

The only storms in Iowa right now are SW of Des Moines, outside of even the lowest risk area.

I've been thinking the cape values in Iowa didn't look as promising for tornados as it did Southern Missouri

We're having 60-70 MPH here in the TX panhandle. ****ing dust bowl! Hate this place. Would rather be in a Tornado to at least get some rain!

Exactly. Similar regions affected as Friday but the atmospheric conditions aren't the same, at least not here.

The real action is likely to be much further south, into NE TX, Arkansas, and SE MO.

I live a couple of hours west of St. Joe, and work in southern Nebraska. Coming home at 4:00, I could see the thunderheads building over the Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri "corner" area. They were massive from 2 hours away.

The line coming out of NW MO into western IA is looking like it might have some strong cells in it but so far nothing severe.

Friday, a big straight line wind storm threw a dumpster 75 yards and smashed it into my truck, and ripped a roof off the shade I built on my deck last summer.

Today, there are 30-40 degree temp differences within the state and sharnadoes are certain to hulk smash stuff.

That's the one I was seeing. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was posted for it according to NBC 41 out of KC.
