IIRC, Sorter was a big fan of Richardson and IMO, the Jets d-line will be among the best in the league with his addition.

Milliner, IMO, should never have been in the discussion at 1.1, nor should have Warmack, Cooper or Smith.
Mingo would have been a pick I'd agree with as well.

There wasn't an OT "worth" the first pick, either, but that didn't stop anyone. Look, no one mocked the Rams for taking Austin #8 overall. Therefore, there's nothing wrong with taking him 1/1.

Oh well since u only took some of the posting that i said... dont forget the part where i said the almost SB winning 49ers went after Smith hard, and would of loved to have him sign. as well as the eagles, bucs, and cards... but main point was if the 49ers went after him hard, he cant be too bad.

Let me ask u this, which one means more to u ??

tons of stats, or putting up W's on the board ??

ive been a part of a few other fan forums, and they wouldn't admit it,

but a qb throws for lets say 225yds, 2tds and a win....

then another throws for 300-400yds, 4-5 td's and they lose,

and i swear you'd think they would rather had lost the game, and just had their fantasy pts. up... crazy

1. Trade down at any cost. The #1 overall pick is worthless, so take the best offer with the extra picks and move on.

2. Sheldon Richardson

3. Tavon Austin or another WR with skills that we currently lack

4. Dion Jordan, Dee Milliner, or another defensive player from the top 15 who fills a hole for us

5. Fisher + Albert trade

6. Just Fisher

7. Joeckel
Once it was clear we weren't going Geno I would have preferred what the Raiders did. Take less than value to move down and get our 2nd back.

Warmack or Milliner (after a trade down) would have been nice but after signing two CB's that wasn't going to happen.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Alex Smith has two wins for his ENTIRE CAREER against teams that scored 24 or more points.

That's worse than our last QB.

He's not winning shit here.

Brandon Flowers gave up 22 first downs and TDs combined last year...Sean Smith gave up 46....that should give you an idea of the vast chasm in ability between these two CBs.

Yes he might end up being the stud of the draft adn if the Chiefs took him- could have been awesome-but they didn't.

Time to let it go-Fish is the Pick and has been for a LONG time now. lol
Tavon wasn't my first preference in 2013, no. Eric Berry wasn't my first preference in 2010, either.

That doesn't mean Berry was a shitty pick, and it clearly doesn't mean I don't think Austin was worth the #1 overall. In THIS particular draft year and with no hope of taking a QB at that spot, he absolutely would have been a good player to take at #1 overall.

A HELL of a lot better pick than taking an offensive lineman who isn't even as talented as the top offensive tackle from the year before, who was not picked at #1 overall. THAT'S taking a loss with the pick even more than trading down. Especially when we've already got a pretty damn good starting LT that we franchise tagged.

BTW, that 2011 ranking has him ranked 42nd right? There are 64 starting CBs in the NFL. How would he be the worst CB in football?

Troll harder mane.

The good news is that we got rid of Brandon Carr. That piece of shit was ranked even lower than Sean Smith on PFF.

I stated that I would have rather taken Richardson but I'd hardly consider that crying.
