Shawne Merriman Atlantic Coast > Maryland
School Height Wt Spd Position
Maryland 604.00 255 NA DE

2004: 85 tackles, 17 TFL, 8.5 sacks.

What a physical speciman, during the Terps spring testing he had a 385 pound bench, 590 pound squat and a 41.5 inch vertical jump, which was the best ever for a defensive lineman in the schools history. He would probably be ranked much higher but he carries the dreaded tweener label. He will probably be moved to an outside rush linebacker in the NFL, best suited for a 3-4 defense. Plays with a non-stop motor and a real hustler on the field. Finds the football well and never takes a play off. Has a great burst and will beat most offensive tackles with his lightening first step. Had an outstanding 2004 season, led the Terps with tackles for loss with 17, with an additional 8 sacks and 3 forced fumbles

said micheal roos from eastern washington looks good to.

possible mid round offensive lineman pick for us?

Michael Roos Big Sky > Eastern Washington
School __________ Ht _ Weight Speed Position
Eastern Washington 6'6" 295lbs N/A OT

Roos was probably the best offensive lineman in all of 1-AA this season, and will look to improve his draft stock at the senior bowl. AT 6'6, 295 Roos has good size for a tackle in the NFL. Originally, Roos played TE and DT for Eastern Washington, as he had a lot of athletic ability. He helped lead his team to a share of the Big Sky conference title and was one of the top players on an offense which averaged over 400 yards per game. Many NFL teams are searching for young talent at LT to develop, and while Roos may not have played against top competition, he has the footwork and skills scouts will love. With a solid showing at the combine and senior bowl, Roos could be a first day pick, maybe even in round two.

Thanks for the post Laz.

Carlos Rodgers pulled a hamstring earlier in the week. He did not practice yesterday and is not expected to play in the senior bowl.

If they're talking about him now, I can pretty much guarantee you they won't be picking him in April.

He mentioned Pac-Man and Rolle too. I'm not sold on spending our first rounder on Pac-Man, DJ would be money though. I'm building myself to a huge dissappointment aren't I.

Can Derrick play all three spots at the same time? If so, let's draft him.

810 or 610 needs to send a Mel Kiper type to the Senior Bowl and have specials on their radio stations... football fans around here would eat that up!
