How much is your rent/house payment?

This thread was inspired by BD's thread where he offers to pay $3200 per month rent.

Let's see.. I rent a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, finished basement half of a brick duplex. With split 2 car garage. I pay $350 a month plus utilities. The landlord is a good friend of mine or I'd probably be paying $500. I live right across the street from a park and pavilion and I live in one of the older neighborhoods here in Gering/Scottsbluff. Wide streets and oak and cottonwood and pine lined streets. Typical older middle class neighborhood. I can't complain.

That ain't no lie. When I graduated from HS my old man said "For all intents and purposes you're a adult now". And if I was going to stay at home I had to have a job and pay rent to them. Since I was on a football scholarship or at least a partial scholarship since we didn't have dorms at U.N.O at the time. I had a parttime job that paid pretty good. So I moved in with 3 other friends since I don't think I'd of had as much fun living at home under Ma and Pa. The thought of Mom or Dad walking in on me with a girl in bed and a joint burning in the ashtray and open beer bottles on the nightstand would have been to much of a excuse to make up at the spur of the moment. I'd of probably done much better in school though and not been so popular if I'd of just stayed at home with Mom and Dad and watched more Star Wars movies down in my bedroom in the basement in the dark.

Take a ****ing pill.

I'm 25 and I still live with my Dad - it's just me and him.

I split all the bills with him, so I'm not mooching. But that's ****ing garbage - don't question parents if their children live with them past whatever threshold your old ass has determined is the appropriate age to leave.

Does it really piss you off that much that someone lives at home? Sorry Skip, not all of us could grow up in the 1940s when our parents kicked us out after we dropped out of the womb.

Don't stereotype people and call someone a detriment that you have no ****ing idea about.

You're right- GoChiefs should live on his own and collect welfare so he could then take money out of societies pocket and we can listen to you bitch further.

I've never had a problem with you on this board, but don't generalize someone my age for living at home. I'm engaged and I'm out when I get married.
