Detroit is argubly the 2nd greatest American League franchise ever. This is not the Chicago Cubs we're talking about here....Ty Cobb, Harry Heilmann, Sam Crawford, Charlie Gehringer, Hank Greenberg, Hal Newhouser, George Kell, Al Kaline, Norm Cash, Mickey Lolich, Alan Trammell, Lou Whitaker, Jack Morris, Kirk Gibson, Sparky Anderson.......They are a proud franchise and baseball is better off when they are playing well.
