The passport card

Anyone get one of these yet? I'm thinking I might get one just in case I need another valid form of ID such as when your primary ID becomes lost or destroyed.....however it is weird that it is not accepted for air travel use

I'd lean towards the full passport. Cost is $100 versus $45 but a passport will do anything the card would do and there aren't any restrictions on travel anywhere.

I myself have a NEXUS card on top of my passport. I use it at the Canadian border because it gets me a dedicated line. I use the passport everywhere else..

I don’t think so there have been quite a few security concerns about it

Interesting....I don't think I would "use" the card but it sure would be handy to be placed into a safe with say your birth certificate "just in case" ...I would imagine I would use the actual passport more often but it also has the chip no?

It's like $120 for both. We were thinking of doing that for my wife, she was just naturalized, and for proof of citizenship carrying the little card beats the hell out of carrying the passbook. You only get one naturalization certificate, so carrying that around is out of the question.

Passports are for women. Real men just walk past the border patrol
