That is top on my list next time I go out for shots. I need one badly. I went on the Brewery tour a few weeks ago and am kicking myself for not bringing the cam. Really cool experience.

I am using a Canon 5D.

Canon just came out with the Rebel XSi. It is supposed to be their big gun for people just like yourself looking for a starter DSLR. You can get the body for about 800. Remember though, when you start getting into the DSLR game the body is important of course but the lenses are where a lot of your investment belongs.

Ya, exactly. After lots of research, the constant theme is the lens is where you spend lots of money.

Right now, narrowed it down between a Canon and Nikon. Was looking at that very similar Canon model and a Nikon D80. Wanted a camera that has a bigger body since I have big hands. Decision, decisions.

It is a tough one...I am a Canon guy but you are on the right track going with a camera centric company via Canon or Nikon.

It is a blast and what I love to do...lots of great resources out there.

It has been going real well...down to 2 days a week at the crappy job. It has just been tough because I don't have a particular focus. I do a little bit of everything but need to get a niche and attack it.

Any tips on the best resources on effective photo taking. No one has ever contacted me about the Canon 40D that fell into my lap, and I'm starting to think no one ever will.
