anybody know if they've finally gotten the plug pulled on em? The site has been down for me for day now.

I checked around the internet for news, and there hasnt been a raid or anything like that. This is apparently a planned downtime for some massive hardware upgrades to cope with their traffic.

I wish this was true but the new IT laws in Sweden (suspected as been lobbied by the american government) has all internet trafic passing through Swedish borders scanned.

However there has been a monthlong controversy regarding this and alot of oposition from press and the public with demonstrations so the end is not yet in sight but when it goes through on jan 1 I think Piratebay might either move or go down all together.
