Alcohol can have adverse effects on canines due to their livers inability to filter out the high sugar content. This can kill a dog.

Sorry, I had to say something. It seemed to be harmless comedy at the time, but we found it dead the next morning.

A couple of years ago, I was working on an anti-tobacco ad campaign, and I was in a 7-11 in a rural area doing interviews with people who bought chewing tobacco. One guy came in, and he was a real cowboy with chaps and a hat and everything. I interviewed him, and he said that he had gotten his dog addicted to chewing tobacco. He would give it to the dog "to prevent worms", and after a while the dog would start shaking any time he pulled out the can. He was dead serious.
He also mentioned that his horse really liked it, but didn't start shaking like the dog did.

I don't waste my alcohol on anything that I can't have an argument with..i.e., a dog.

You're not drinking enough if you can't argue with your dog.
