I think sometimes people think the 3-4 is only M2M because Defensive Coordinators running a 3-4 want to free up more guys to blitz and attack the line of scrimmage so they end up playing M2M.
It really doesn't matter though, 3-4 only indicates what the front 7(DLine and LB's) are doing. You can run any kind of coverage you want behind it. |

The Patriots play about 80-85% zone, so it's very possible that we will do the same, since Scott Pioli seems to be dictating the change in scheme.
