Jets tried to trade for Bowe
According to Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson, the Jets contacted the Chiefs about Dwayne Bowe but talks went nowhere and are now "100 percent dead."
The New York Daily News first reported the Jets' interest in Bowe in mid-August. Chiefs coach Todd Haley has been practicing tough love with his No. 1 receiver, so it made sense for a receiver-needy team like the Jets to try and swoop in. Still, Bowe is one of the few offensive building blocks in Kansas City. They would have to receive a windfall to part with him. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pla...=SKILL&id=4184 Interesting...I wonder what the compensation would have been. |

Bowe is one of the few members of this team that make the Chiefs watchable.
Had they parted with Bowe, their only saving grace would have been if they had received a king's ransom AND traded for Boldin or someone of his caliber. At the end of the day... glad we still have Bowe. |

Yeah, lets trade away our best offensive player on a position we desperately need depth at.

This would've made a lot of sense if the Rules Committee had outlawed the forward pass this offseason.

The Jets still owe us for the rape job they gave us with Herman Edwards. They should just give us their 1st rounder next year just for punitive damages

Maybe the Chiefs were keeping the deal entertained as long as Bolden was a possibility from the Cards. Since the Bolden deal is dead, so it this.
