@jazayerli According to baseball-reference.com, no P has ever struck out 14+ batters on so few pitches. Javier Vazquez threw 96 pitches on 4/9/03. less than 20 seconds ago via TweetDeck

His stuff is ridiculous. I fully expect him to dominate out of the gate. I think he'll hit a rough patch eventually... I'm not sure I can say that guys will adjust to his stuff with a straight face. But I'm sure there will be some adjustments as he matures.

He is seriously unbelievable. 14 Ks in 7 innings in his first start. Unreal.

He's facing the Pirates. It'll be more impressive when he does something like this against a Major League team.

Meh. 2.57 ERA. Didn't finish what he started. Pretty sure he didn't hit a bomb or steal a base either. And that popcorn ain't gonna sell itself, kid.

They signed this kid last year and he's already in the big leagues? Holy shit. And then he goes and does this. Then they get Bryce Harper. FML and FU Royals

Yes it does sell itself. It's popcorn! Popcorn always sells.
That doesn't even make sense. |

I got home from work just in time to catch his last inning. Very nasty stuff.

Looking at the stat line and actually watching him pitch are two completely different things. He was utterly dominant. He made the batters look plain silly multiple times.
And, yes, it is/was televised on MLB Network.
