Finally, Some Good News...
It's been a rough few months here in Gonzoland, (as you can see in this thread.)

I received an official offer from a great company today in their security department.
I applied for the position nearly 1.5 months ago and had all but given up on it until I received a call about 10 days ago to interview. It was a job that I coveted as soon as I saw it hit the want ads. I was already familiar with their operation and was acquainted with a few of their employees via my previous company. This position is getting back to what I do well. No more P&L Management or sales bullshit. I hated that crap. This company could very well be my employer for the next 25 years. The job security, benefits and pay are better than what I was making.
I start Monday morning at 0800. I am definitely going to miss staying at home and doing stuff with my kid every day, (and exchanging witty banter with all of you for 8 hours a day) but it's time.

Lumpy has been great though all of this. I actually received an offer from my old company a few months ago. She knew I didn't want the position and the hours sucked. Her exact words were, "**** that. Stay at home and cook my dinner. Something better will come along soon." I am so glad I listened...
