I haven't been, but a former employee of mine went a few years ago, and he went to the indoor ski slope. He came back with a "Ski Dubai" refrigerator magnet.

There's some really cool resort there that's listed as one of the top resorts in the world. I'll see if I can figure out the name, but it's on the coast and you get there either by ATV or helicopter, and it's supposedly spectacular.

I have a tax client that worked over there for a year. Did some hospital software management type stuff.

He told me it was a whole different world over there. LOTS of money. He generally enjoyed his experience over there though. Said he would do it again if he wasn't married. His wife didn't really want him over there for a year, but for what they paid him, it was really a no-brainer.

I think I'll stick to being the token white guy in a suit in China. You can get drunk and attend chinese a businesses events and you get paid for it.
