So, My friend told me this story tonight...

HE was at a local park with his kids, and on the way to get in the car to leave he passed a trashcan. He heard a rustling noise inside the can.

He figured it might be a rat or cat or other pest, but curious, he looked inside the can and saw a knotted-up plastic bag (grocery bag) writhing around at the bottom of the garbage can.

He felt compelled to investigate. I mean, there was a small chance it could have been an infant. So he reached in a grabbed a corner of the bag. It moved a bit more. He reached both hands into the trashcan and began to tear open the bag. It was a double-bagged grocery bag tied in knots at the opening.

He tore open the plastic and found a chicken (rooster?). Now, this is in urban Los Angeles, it's not like chickens are just running around all over the place here. THe thing popped its head out of the bag opening, he tore the bag open some more and it just leisurely walked out of the trashcan.

However, it was raining, so the cock walked back into the shelter of the overturned trashcan to wait out the rain, then walked back out to see what was up.
