Is anybody else's AC unit having trouble keeping up with this heat?
...or is our AC unit dying.

Our thermostat is set to 75. The AC has been running pretty much all day and in the last couple hours the temp in our house is up to 80 degrees.

I have changed the filter. The air out of the vents feels cool..not cold.

I just have never had an AC unit go out on me so I don't know if that is what I am dealing with or if the unit is no match for this heat.

The backside of the house faces the southwest...so it is getting blasted by the sun now...

I have a feeling I will be dishing out the $$$ in the next couple of days.
