How the defense is doing through three games.
God, this shit gets me hard.

Points per game: T-2nd (11.3)
Yards per game: 9th (309.0)

Passing defense: 6th (189.0)
Yards per pass: T-3rd (5.8)
Comp %: 5th (54.9)

Run defense: 25th (124.0)
Yards per rush: 32nd (5.6)

Sacks: 1st (15)
Passes defensed: T-2nd (26)
Defensive TDs: T-2nd (3)
Interceptions: T-7th (4)
Forced fumbles: T-9th (3)

Pretty awesome, except for the Eagles carving us up on the ground.

I'm not as displeased with the running yards given up as I suppose I could be. Shady gonna lead the league in rushing, barring injury, cause he can almost teleport around behind the line and magically find holes to blast through. We're not gonna be the last team he embarasses

You forgot the most important defensive stat: yards per play.

Chiefs are 8th.

We're also 4th in third down defense.

We completely shut down the run in the first two games. Completely.

The rushing yards allowed vs the Eagles doesn't bother me because they shut down Jackson.

Just remember we played Jacksonville as well as Philly so they kinda wash to the middle. I expect after 8 games we're gonna be a solid top 5 and drawing lots of media attention.

I agree that McCoy will lead the league in rushing. But that's not just because he's a BA. It's because he has a running QB in Vick that will keep the defense honest when it comes to the run. Look what Vick did to us...Fake handed it to McCoy and takes off for 80 yards. It gives pause to a defense when Vick is doing the hand off because you just don't know if he's going to fake hand it and run it himself. It was the exact same thing in ATL.

It's still early in the season, so any 1 game aberration is going to warp the numbers.

What I like to see is the intensity the D is bringing. This is a damn good defense, no matter what the numbers say.
